I love starting the day with a walk to James, one of my favourite spots in Curaçao for brunch. It’s about a 15 to 20-minute walk from the hotel through the colourful streets of Otrobanda and Punda.

On the way, I almost always stop at Van Gogh Grab & Go for a coffee. I love their coffee so much that, some mornings, I can’t resist having one before brunch, too. It’s become a little tradition of mine.

James serves one of my favourite brunches on the island, so I like taking my time there before heading back to the hotel.

After brunch, I usually wander through the shops around Punda before returning to Kura Botanica.

If you haven’t visited Kura Hulanda Concept Store yet, make sure you do. It’s full of beautiful local products, beach clothing and unique souvenirs that are very different from the typical tourist shops.

Back at the hotel, I spend the afternoon exactly how a vacation should feel – relaxing by the pool with one of our signature cocktails.

If I get hungry later in the afternoon, I order the Wild Fries from BRGR Haus. They’ll even bring them to the hotel, so there’s no need to leave your sunbed.

Thursday evenings mean one thing: Punda Vibes.

The streets fill with music, local vendors and an amazing atmosphere. I like starting the evening with dinner at Mundo Bizarro, one of my favourite places in Punda.

At 8:15 PM, everyone gathers along in the centre for the fireworks, and afterwards the city becomes even livelier.

Before heading back to the hotel, I always stop at the World’s Best Mojito Bar. Don’t expect fancy glasses, the mojitos come in plastic cups, but that’s exactly what makes it feel authentic. There is live music, people dancing in the streets, and an atmosphere that perfectly captures the spirit of Curaçao.
